Getting Closer

As I'm packing up my apartment and moving items into storage I realize what a huge step it is that I am making. I have always dreamed of going to Africa and to think that in just a few days I will be preparing to go over with my team to Kenya. How exciting!

I have been so blessed with many friends who have encouraged me with words, notes, hugs and just lots of love. I am sad to not be making memories this summer with those I know but I am ready for the challenge of making memories with those from my team and the Maasai people. I know I could never be fully prepared for this adventure but I pray that I will have a heart to serve and a life that will be molded through this experience.

I am simply and courageously making myself available to Jesus Christ, knowing that He will use my many weaknesses and few strengths to show people His love.

*As you can see my closet is empty...but most of it ended up on the floor. Ha! Yes, I have too much stuff. I love the idea of living simply yet my clothing does not portray that unfortunately.
